Our Story of
Finding Hope
At House of Hope, we are on a mission to shine a light on a crucial issue that often goes unnoticed Did you know that around 27% of individuals diagnosed with autism are classified having profound autism? These individuals are nonverbal, medically & behaviorally complex, and require specialized-life sustaining care around the clock. When they transition out of their school supports, families are faced with a daunting challenge, especially in rural areas with limited safe options.
Our Founder’s journey is a testament to hope and change. Inspired by her son, who faced a lack of adult support options close to his family and having to be 3 hours away from them for 17 years, upon his aging out of his residential school, Nicole dedicated years along with her family, in creating House of Hope, renovating a home for him, training & hiring staff, developing programs, and finally, transitioning Caleb into his house close to his family once again.
We aim to help many families build their own
